Blythewood High School
A concept redesign that brings Blythewood High School's navy-and-gold Bengal athletics identity into a more modern and versatile system.

Overview
Blythewood High School
Blythewood High School in Blythewood, South Carolina, supports a wide range of athletic programs united by its white Bengal tiger mascot and navy-and-gold colors. As an alumnus, I approached this concept redesign with a personal understanding of the school's visual history and an opportunity to imagine a stronger, more flexible identity for its athletic program.
Challenge
The existing Bengal artwork was highly illustrative, limiting its use at small sizes, in one color, and across the many applications required by a school athletics program. The redesign needed to feel more contemporary, emphasize the school's navy and gold, and remain recognizable across every sport without losing the character of the white Bengal mascot.
Solution
I created a focused Bengal head mark with simplified shapes, strong contrast, and a clean vector structure that reproduces effectively in full color or one color. A traditional athletic block serif establishes familiarity and school spirit, while a streamlined sans serif adds a modern counterpoint. The resulting system adapts consistently to uniforms, courts, field equipment, facility signage, digital interfaces, and event branding.
